Tax Agent<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The concept of Tax Agent is to help businesses to be compliant in respect of their tax obligations:<\/strong><\/p>

  1. A person is allowed to appoint another person(s) as its Tax Agent(s) to act in his name and on his behalf with regards to his tax affairs with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).<\/li>
  2. A Tax Agent assists the person in the fulfilment of his tax obligations and the exercise of his associated tax rights.<\/li><\/ol>

    Scope of work of the Tax Agent:<\/strong><\/p>

    1. Legally represent businesses (local and foreign Entities) at Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and act on his name and on his behalf with regards to all his tax affairs.<\/li>
    2. Prepare, review and submit the Tax returns at FTA portal through the Tax Agent account.<\/li>
    3. Facilitate and offer assistance during a Tax Audit, both during and after the expiry of the agency engagement or your dismissal as the Tax Agent for the Taxable persons.<\/li>
    4. Provide the FTA with all the information, documents, records, and data required for any taxable person represented by the Tax Agent upon the FTA\u2019s request.<\/li>
    5. Helping the businesses register at FTA.<\/li>
    6. Maintaining tax related records and or information.<\/li>
    7. Enquiring about tax related matters with the FTA<\/li>
    8. Submitting requests for reconsideration of decisions issued by the FTA.<\/li><\/ol>

      Other duties of Tax Agent:<\/strong><\/p>

      1. Professional due care must be observed throughout the practice to prevent malpractice\/negligence and consequential liabilities. The FTA may de-list the Tax Agent if it is satisfied that continuing to list the Tax Agent would adversely affect the integrity of the tax system or the Tax Agent have committed a significant violation of the relevant laws.<\/li>
      2. In performing his\/her duties as a Tax Agent, the Tax Agent may rely on information provided to him by the person unless the Tax Agent has reasonable grounds for believing that the information may be incorrect.<\/li>
      3. Without prejudice to any obligations in the law, maintaining the confidentiality of any information obtained in the course of performing his\/her duties as a Tax Agent.<\/li>
      4. Refuse to participate in any work or plan which may result in breach of any law by any person or may jeopardise the integrity of the tax system.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
